KGM Korando IV generation: Wiper Blade Replacement
The wiper blades on the fourth-generation Korando (2019-2025) use a standard J-hook attachment and can be replaced without tools. The procedure is identical for all model years and engine variants.
Parts
2- 🔩 Front blades: 24 in (610 mm) driver side, 18 in (450 mm) passenger side
- 🔩 rear blade: 12 in (300 mm). Standard J-hook attachment. Aftermarket examples: Bosch AeroTwin, Denso, Champion
Step by step
12 steps- Park the vehicle, turn the ignition on, and activate the wipers. Turn the ignition off when the blades are in the middle of the windshield (for easy access).
- Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield to the upright position. Hold it carefully and do not let it snap back onto the glass.
- Find the small plastic latch or release tab on the blade body, near where it connects to the arm.
- Press the latch down (or push it to the side, depending on the blade manufacturer) and at the same time pull the blade down along the arm. It will slide out of the J-hook.
- Remove the old blade. Inspect the arm's hook. It should not be deformed.
- Take the new blade, align its adapter with the J-hook of the arm, and slide it upward until it clicks into place.
- Check that it is secure. Gently pull the blade downward. It should not come off without pressing the latch.
- Remove the protective film from the rubber strip of the blade (if present).
- Carefully lower the arm back onto the glass. Make sure the blade sits flat against the glass along its entire length.
- Repeat for the passenger side (18 in blade).
- For the rear blade, open the tailgate, lift the arm, and replace the blade the same way (12 in).
- Test the wipers. Turn on the washer and make sure the blades wipe cleanly, without streaks or chattering.
Common mistakes and warnings
- Do not use smaller blades, as this reduces visibility. Do not leave the arm raised without a blade for long. The spring may weaken, or the metal arm may snap back against the glass and damage it.
