Step by step
7 steps- Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield as far as it will go (90 degrees to the glass).
- Find the small locking tab on the side of the blade adapter.
- Press the locking tab with your finger and at the same time pull the blade down along the arm. It will slide out of the hook.
- Take the new blade and line up its adapter with the hook on the arm.
- Insert the hook into the slot in the blade adapter and pull the blade upward until it clicks into place.
- Gently lower the arm back onto the windshield. Do not let it drop, or you may damage the glass.
- Repeat the procedure for the other wiper.
Common mistakes and warnings
- When lowering the arm onto the windshield, hold it with your hand. The spring can snap the metal arm against the glass and leave a chip. Check the sizes before buying blades: for the 2009-2011 facelift models, both 55/40 cm and 60/40 cm setups are found.
