Step by step

8 steps
  1. Open the hood and locate the black air filter housing to the right of the engine.
  2. Remove the four self-tapping screws holding the housing cover using a screwdriver or a 7-8 mm socket.
  3. Remove the filter housing cover.
  4. Grip the old filter by its right side and pull it upward and slightly to the right to remove it.
  5. Clean the filter housing of dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or a dry rag. Cover the mass air flow sensor with a clean cloth while cleaning.
  6. Install the new filter, aligning the tab on the filter element with the slot in the housing.
  7. Install the housing cover and tighten the four self-tapping screws without excessive force.
  8. Close the hood.

Common mistakes and warnings

  • Do not try to reuse the old filter after blowing it out with compressed air. It loses its filtering properties. Use only a new, certified filter to protect the engine's service life.
