Lada Granta 1.6 8V (2015): Air Filter Replacement
The air filter on the Granta 1.6 8V should be replaced every 15,000 km or once a year. The housing is on the right side of the engine and is easy to reach, with no need to remove any other parts.
Part
- 🔩 Lada 2190-1109080-01 (aftermarket equivalents: Mann C 30 107, Filtron AP 109, Big Filter GB-9842)
Step by step
6 steps- Open the hood. Find the black plastic air filter housing on the right side of the engine (passenger side).
- Release the 4 plastic clips around the edge of the housing cover (at the corners and along the sides).
- Carefully lift the cover up. The rubber air intake hose will stay in place.
- Remove the old filter. Wipe out the inside of the housing with a clean, dry rag to remove dust and dirt.
- Install the new filter with the pleats facing up (the airflow direction is usually shown by an arrow on the housing).
- Close the cover and snap all 4 clips into place until they click. Make sure the cover sits tight against the housing.
Common mistakes and warnings
- Do not drive the Granta with a dirty filter or without a filter. Dust will get into the cylinders, speed up wear on the cylinder-piston group, and damage the MAF sensor (if equipped). When replacing the filter, make sure the new one is the right size. The 8-valve engine uses a standard size, but check the part number before you buy.
