Lada Granta 1.6 8v 87 hp (2015): Low Beam Bulb Replacement
On the first-generation Granta (2190), the low beam uses a standard H7 bulb. It can be replaced without removing the headlight, with access from the engine compartment. The procedure takes 10-15 minutes per side.
Part
- 🔩 H7 12V 55W. OE Lada 1118-3711010 or equivalents Philips Vision, Osram Original, Bosch Pure Light
Step by step
9 steps- Open the hood, raise the car, or fold back the fender liner near the headlight you are working on.
- Behind the headlight, find the connector with the low beam bulb (H7). It is a socket with a rubber dust cover.
- Turn the socket counterclockwise 45° and pull it out of its seat.
- Hold the bulb in the socket with one hand and turn it counterclockwise 45° with the other.
- The bulb will drop into your hand. Do not touch the glass with bare fingers. Use gloves or a clean cloth.
- Insert the new bulb into the socket with the tabs facing inward, then turn it clockwise until it clicks.
- Insert the socket back into the headlight and turn it clockwise until it stops.
- Check by switching on the low beam from the driver's seat.
- Repeat the procedure for the other headlight.
Common mistakes and warnings
- Do not touch the H7 bulb glass with bare hands. Skin oil will damage the glass, causing the bulb to overheat and burn out quickly. If you touch it by accident, wipe the glass with alcohol and a clean cloth before installing it.
