Renault Talisman 1.5 dCi (2019): Low Beam Bulb Replacement
On the first-generation Talisman (2015-2023), the headlights use H7 bulbs. The replacement requires removing only a few minor components, and the headlight does not need to be removed.
Part
- 🔩 Renault genuine H7 55W bulbs or equivalents such as Philips Vision, Osram Original, Bosch Pure Light

Step by step
9 steps- Open the hood and locate the rear sections of the headlight housings on both sides of the radiator.
- From the engine compartment side, you will see a round socket and a plastic cover (cap).
- Turn the plastic cover counterclockwise 45 degrees and remove it together with the bulb.
- Pull the old bulb out of the holder (usually it is simply inserted, with no retaining clips).
- DO NOT TOUCH the glass of the new bulb with bare hands. Wear gloves (oil from your fingers shortens bulb life).
- Insert the new bulb into the holder until it clicks.
- Turn the cover clockwise until it locks (it should sit tightly, with no play).
- Check the low beam (ignition ON, headlights on).
- Repeat for the other headlight.
Common mistakes and warnings
- Make sure you buy H7 bulbs. On the Talisman, the low beam is H7 only, and the high beam is also H7. On some trims with LED daytime running lights the setup may differ, but the main headlights use H7. If the headlight is xenon or LED (rare on base trims in 2019), replacement is more complicated, so see a repair shop.
