Lada Granta 1.6 8V (2015): Wiper Blade Replacement

The first-generation Granta uses wiper arms with a built-in blade attachment mechanism. Replacing the blades is simple, requires no tools and takes just a few minutes.

Difficulty: Easy Time: 5-10 minutes Steps: 8 Tools: None required

Part

  • 🔩 Bosch Aerotwin 600/400 mm front wiper blades or equivalents (SWAT, Champion, Hella)

Step by step

8 steps
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Move the wiper arms to their upper position (press them against the windshield).
  3. For the front left wiper: lift the arm up, perpendicular to the glass, until it locks in the service position (almost vertical).
  4. Find the blade attachment mechanism at the end of the arm. It is usually a plastic tab or latch. Press the tab/latch and slide the old blade down along the arm.
  5. Install the new blade by inserting it into the attachment slot at a slight angle and sliding it up until it clicks into place.
  6. Repeat the same procedure for the right wiper.
  7. Lower the arms back to their original position.
  8. Turn the ignition on and run the wipers for a couple of cycles to check them.

Common mistakes and warnings

  • Do not use excessive force when removing the old blade, as the arm may bend. Make sure the new blade seats with a distinct click, otherwise it may come off while the wipers are running at speed.
